Nintendo Switch Sports is a sports simulation game developed and produced by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch console. The game includes a variety of sports that players can participate in either alone or with friends. The game features popular sports such as tennis, bowling, fencing, soccer, volleyball, archery, and golf. Players can engage in tournaments and various competitive modes. Nintendo Switch Sports offers a lively and enjoyable sports gaming experience for players of all ages.
The game is set in an imaginary sports area called Spocco Square. Switch Sports includes three sports from previous versions: tennis and bowling from Wii Sports, and swordplay from Wii Sports Resort. It also introduces three new sports: soccer, volleyball, and badminton. The golf sport from the previous version has also been announced and will be available in a free update on November 29, 2022.
In addition to using the handheld mode when participating in games, players can choose to use the motion control mode with their legs to engage in exciting 4vs4 and 1vs1 soccer matches. To enhance the experience, it is recommended to use the Joy-Con controllers and the included Leg Strap accessory (included in the physical edition of Sports) to deliver more powerful kicks in the game. Users can also move their arms as if running in place to accelerate when approaching the goal.
