ROG XREAL R1 is a gaming AR glasses model created through a collaboration between ASUS ROG and XREAL. It can be seen as an upgraded version of XREAL ONE PRO optimized for a better gaming experience. Its highlights include a Micro-OLED display with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, an ultra-fast 0.01ms response time, and a 57-degree FOV, all packed into a lightweight 91g design.
Display refresh rate of up to 240Hz
The glasses operate at a default refresh rate of 120Hz. To reach 240Hz, you need to enable Frame Rate Boost, which delivers the smoothest gaming experience.
The Frame Rate Boost technology works by reducing the vertical resolution to 540p and then upscaling it using an algorithm. This makes the image smoother, but reduces detail, especially in text and small elements, which may appear blurry or become difficult to read. It is suitable for FPS, MOBA, racing, and high-speed sports games. For slower-paced RPG games with lots of text or fine details, content may be more difficult to see clearly.
Display
The glasses feature a Sony Micro-OLED panel with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels per eye. They cover 106% sRGB color gamut and offer a peak brightness of 700 nits, delivering a well-balanced image with accurate colors and strong contrast.
FOV of 57°
The 57° FOV creates a virtual screen of up to 171 inches at a viewing distance of 4 meters. The panel has a 0.01ms response time and a 3ms motion-to-photon latency.

Aura RGB lighting system
Aura RGB lighting system with 9 LEDs arranged along both sides of the temples, allowing you to customize colors and lighting effects to your preference.
Built-in 3DoF tracking
Equipped with 3DoF spatial tracking processed directly on the glasses by the X1 chip, featuring two main modes.
Follow Mode
The display follows your head movements, with Smooth Follow mode for smoother image movement.
Anchor mode
The virtual screen remains anchored in space, maintaining a stable position as you move your head.
Automatic electrochromic dimming
The glasses feature electrochromic lens technology with 3 tint levels, allowing you to adjust the lens darkness according to the surrounding lighting conditions. Auto Transparency mode automatically switches the lenses to a transparent state when you move your head away from the screen in Anchor Mode, allowing you to view your surroundings without removing the glasses.
Compatible with ROG Ally
The Armoury Crate SE (ACSE) software is deeply integrated with ROG Ally, allowing you to use two screens simultaneously when connected. The glasses display the game, while the handheld’s screen is used to adjust the glasses’ display modes.
Real time 2D-to-3D conversion
Built-in real-time 2D-to-3D conversion transforms 2D content into 3D in real time, creating a natural sense of image size and depth for a more immersive and realistic viewing experience than ever before.

Sound by Bose
The audio system is tuned by Bose, featuring open speakers mounted on both sides of the temples and a 4 microphone noise-cancellation system. The directional speaker design helps minimize sound leakage, making the glasses suitable for gaming in crowded or shared environments.
Software and Ecosystem
The on-glasses menu has been customized by ASUS, with Vietnamese language support and a visual design that matches the branding of other ROG products, featuring a distinctive red-and-black color scheme.
ROG Control Dock
Acts as a hub for switching between multiple input sources
Supports connecting up to 3 source devices simultaneously (2 HDMI ports and 1 DisplayPort), with the ability to switch between input sources directly from the menu.
Game Plus
ASUS-exclusive mode featuring features such as crosshair, timer, FPS counter, and display calibration.
Game Visual
ASUS GameVisual technology provides 7 image customization modes, including Racing, MOBA, Cinema, and more. Easily access them using hotkeys or the Quick Settings menu.
HDR Tone Mapping
Connect to the ROG Control Dock to receive HDR signals, while the software automatically converts the image from HDR to SDR for accurate color reproduction. You do not need to disable the HDR function in Windows.
Display Widget Center
The ROG Control Dock connects to DisplayWidget Center, allowing you to control the virtual display using a mouse. From adjusting brightness to configuring advanced features.

Three sizes of nose pads to accommodate different nose bridge heights and face shapes.
Multi angle adjustable temples
The temples support 3 levels of adjustment, with a maximum tilt of 3.5° per level, allowing you to fine-tune the fit based on your nose bridge height and ear position. The spring hinge design further expands the temple angle by up to 15°.
Two different IPD sizes
The Interpupillary Distance (IPD) is the distance between your pupils. Choosing the correct IPD size ensures the clearest possible viewing experience.
